    Entertainment Lighting
    Design. Consultation. Installation. Service.

ABOUT

Hi, I'm Weston and I started WTC Design to house my freelance lighting design work in Richmond. Starting in 2020, a series of jobs pulled me into the install and systems side of the industry — an electrical apprenticeship, AV installation work, and a stretch as a project manager for Barbizon Lighting Company. I learned how these systems get designed, built, wired, and maintained. Today WTC Design covers both sides: lighting design and system services. You'll find me behind a console designing a show just as often as I'm on a job site or behind a computer working through a systems project.

Lighting Design

Weston is a Richmond, Virginia native working professionally in entertainment lighting since 2012. He holds a BFA in Lighting Design from VCU, where he now serves as the staff lighting and sound technician for the Theatre department. He's a resident designer and production electrician at Riverside Center for the Performing Arts, and has served as Lighting Director for the Sharon L. Morse PAC and resident designer for Studio Theatre Tierra Del Sol. He freelances as a designer and electrician for productions up and down the East Coast.
